We're all slackers and, I admit, I'm even a cheater. Cheaters never prosper though, right? Anyway, after my fitness assessment and emotastic LJ post on Friday I've gained a bit of perspective on the matter--mostly that I can't just make a resolution so much as I have to make an entire lifestyle change if I can ever hope to lose the weight I want to lose. With that said, I'm disbanding my resolution--not that I plan to eat out more again, but because it's far less tempting when it's not forbidden (No wonder Eve ate the damn apple). Instead I'm going to go back to cataloging my food the way I did when I was doing the Curves diet. I'll try to stick within those parameters, but mostly it's just helpful to look at the amount of everything I've eaten--which is generally too much. Also--the regimine at the gym is a killer, but hopefully will be well worth it. I need to drop to at least a 14 by December because it would be nice not to be a fat ass when I meet Pat and Ali. So yeah, that's that on that. I'd rather do my posting here so I don't assault my entire FList with my eating woes. I'm not like some other folks that like to hold a captive audience. ::cough::

Now in theory, when first starting out the end of my day should look close to this:
carbs/protein/fat/calories = 90 / 139 / 33 / 1200 I think it's going to take some practice to get that back down, but who knows.

Breakfast: Egg, ham, and cheese sandwich w/cup of OJ
Bread (2 slices pepperidge farm carb style 7-grain bread)10/10/3/120

Lunch: Turkey, cheese, lettuce, tomato sammich

Lettuce and tomato don't really count for anything except water. x.x;

Snack 2 (you really are supposed to eat about five times a day to keep your metabolism up)
Publix sm. tropical fruit salad with pineapple, strawberries, and kiwi. There is no nutrional info listed and I don't know how much of each was put in there, so we're just going to say that it went way overboard on carbs, but I don't really care because it's fruit and goddammit it's good for me so Atkins can kiss it. ^_^

I'm just going to start editing posts as I eat because I forget to do it at the end of the day.

For breakfast, I'm currently eating scrambled eggs that were mixed with a little skim milk to fluff 'em up. I also had a 16 oz smoothie made of 4 oz skim milk 4 oz fat-free yogurt and 4 strawberries. I took my vitamin, and I have chicken wings out to make for lunch or dinner. I should be leaving for the gym in about half an hour or so--as soon as my food settles. That and I want to miss the lunch-hour rush.

Ahem. I know I haven't been posting to this community like I should, but... yeah. I can barely write in my LJ and you people expect me to write daily food journals? HA!

Nope, sorry. Still not going to write a food journal. :P But, I am going to make an announcement!

The biggest difference I have noticed since we've started the resolution is how much money I've saved. I was dreading my account a few days ago, wondering if I was going to have enough to pay the bills. But, now, since we've not been eating out... I have more than enough. My account hasn't changed in the past several days and that actually makes me feel pretty damn good. xD

Breakfast - bacon egg and cheese sammich
Lunch - ham sammich
Snack - half a pb&j sammich
Dinner - slow-cooked cornish hen w/potatos

..........and then I ate a lot of chocolate because I was depressed. That was dumb. x.x;

This day has started out much better than yesterday.

Breakfast - bowl of strawberry delight frosted mini wheats with skim milk.

Snack - 1 bagelette with turkey and a little mayo

Lunch - grilled cheese sandwich and Progresso low-sodium chicken noodle soup

Snack - South Beach Diet pizza

Dinner - Lasagna with 3 cheese bruscetta bread. Mmm.

Also spent a little over an hour in the gym today with a 2.5 mile bike ride to warm up, strength training, and then a little jogging that almost killed me. We'll be sticking to the ellipicals from now on.

How are all you other SLACKERS (esp you boys) doing?

Yesterday...sucked. I mean really I just ate like complete ass, but hey, this is about improving dietary failure, yes?

Breakfast - breakfast sub I made with scrambled eggs, bacon, and cheese

Lunch - hot dog and chocolate (but at least it was 2 muskateers so not...as bad?)

Dinner - Came home and ate a sub with the last of the sandwich meat and hoagie rolls, so I'm done with those for a while. Had chips with it. omg the strongest salt and vinegar chips in your life. ::twitch::

And then somewhere around one in the morning I made home made bagel pizzas 'cause we took such a late nap and I was going to be up longer. Went to bed at like...four. x.x;

Spent some time at the beach which involved a good deal of walking, some swimming, and a whole lot of going "Yuck, yuck! Seaweed! OMG FISH GET OFF!" xD I really hope today goes better.

Yesterday, 10/05/06:

Breakfast: Bagel with cream cheese.

Lunch: Leftover chicken and stuffing, mashed potatoes.

Dinner: Fried chicken, rice pilaf, corn, biscuit.

Still haven't eaten anything today. x_x;

lunch - pasta w/chicken, mushrooms, and green beans
Dinner - >.> Bagel bites.

workout? Yes! For more than an hour. A ring around the strength circuit and then 30 min = 6 miles on the bike.

Today so far:
Breakfast - bagel bites. Yeah, that's healthy.
Lunch - made a sub sammich and have some fruit salad, but I haven't eaten it. Maybe for dinner.
Now we're about to go to the beach and go swimmin'!
